Spotlight on the Bassoon

Sunday 21st April, 4:00pm

Bishop’s Stortford Sinfonia is closing its 2023/24 season with a show-stopping afternoon of music, with a special focus on the bassoon. The Sinfonia is delighted to welcome Amy Harman, principal bassoonist of Aurora Orchestra, who will be performing the Maconchy Concertino for Bassoon, a perfect piece to show-off this often-overlooked instrument.

On either side of this, the Sinfonia will be playing the boisterous Academic Festival Overture by Brahms and finishing with Tchaikovsky’s much-loved 4th Symphony. It is a concert not to miss, and a perfect ending to a wonderful season. We hope you will join us!
